Tofu Tacos
I’m always game to try a new Taco concoction and these were definitely a stretch because I don’t normally eat tofu and I’m far from vegan, but when the Slaying calls, we slay!!
I opted to shred up the firm tofu and mix it with olive oil, soy sauce and @riega_foods jalapeno Fresca grill seasoning before baking until its texture hardened up a bit. Once the texture was on point I poured the meaty tofu into my cast iron full with some charmalized shallots, garlic, tomato sauce, soy sauce and a little more seasoning and cooked until ready.
I placed that mixture into an oil toasted corn tortilla with some cabbage slaw, pickled onion, cilantro, jalapeno and a big drizzle of the 100 % vegan @joeyshotsauce Priscilla the Creeper.
