Dat’l Hook Ya Crispy Fish Tacos
The other day I received this killer package from @hookyaproducts packed with seasoning and sauce and the recommendation to try their blackened fish taco recipe. Naturally, I had to throw the Taco Slayer spin on it 😉.
The first thing in the recipe is to whip up a crema sauce using the Dat’l Hook Ya Sauce and seasoning with crema, mayo, and lime juice. I let this sit for about 20 min while I prepped my fish up.
I picked up a few filets from my local carniceria, sliced them down and seasoned them with the blackened mild seasoning. Next I dusted the fish with rice flour and concocted a beerless batter using some @mineragua
and dredged the fish slices in it before dropping them in to the oil.
Once crispy, I added these fish to a guacamole laced flour tortill and topped them with shredded lettuce, tomato, queso fresco, and a big drizzling of the Dat’l Hook Ya cream sauce an then a topping of diced green onions. 💚
