BACON WRAPPED SHRIMP & QUESO STUFFED JALAPEÑO TACOS
Well taco slayers, if you’re wondering if this taco slaps, I can confirm it slaps hard….real hard…catch a charge hard.
First I whipped up an incredible topping sauce made with bourbon barrel aged Maple syrup and @hi_spice ‘s Triple Garlic and Kiawe Smokee Sriracha and set it aside.
Next I cleaned and deveined my skrimps and stuffed them into some halved jalapeños with a slice of @tiofranciscocheese queso fresco. Next I tightly wrapped a thick slice of bacon around them and brushed on some of the spicy Maple sauce before cooking them in the oven for 350 for about 20-25 min. Once they were done in the oven I like to place them on a hot cast iron for about a minute to crisp up their bottoms.
While the bacon wrapped goodies cooked, I used the mandolin…… I used the mandalorian mandolin and thinly chopped up some red onion and habanero and mixed the two together with lime juice, salt, and oregano.
Lastly, I melted some shredded cheese onto the surface of a few tortillas and pile everything in and topped with a glazing of the Maple @hi_spice sauce and cilantro.
Ohhhhhh my Goodness! THIS IS THE SLAY!
