FRIED BIRRIA QUESADILLAS

We’ve all had Quesadillas made on the Comal or in a skillet but have you ever tried them fried??

I had some fresh corn masa left from my last visit to @cardenasmarkets tortillaria and instead of making some regular tortillas I flattened masa into some tortilla shapes, I added in some queso oaxaca, I folded the masa and sealed it with my fingers. Next, I dropped these into some hot oil and fried them up until golden and crispy.

Once these fried Quesadillas reached the maximum crunch factor, I pulled them out of the oil and sliced them open to reveal the melted @tiofranciscocheese queso oaxaca. Next I added in birriq de rez, lettuce, cilantro, onion, Mexican crema, avocado, queso cojita, and a MASSIVE drizzling of the (NOW ONLY AVAILABLE THROUGH @heatonist and FEATURED ON @hotones ) @samsahouse award winning Smokey J Hot Sa’House!… also a few sliced habaneros for tempature.

This is the Slay!!!!
