TACO DAY 755/1000 CHICKEN TACOS W/ A HATCH SALSA VERDE

TACO DAY 755/1000

CHICKEN TACOS WITH HATCH SALSA VERDE

Tis the season for hatch green chili roasting and I’m starting it off right, with my roasted chili’s I made a mild all around salsa verde as well as a more wicked habanero hatch sauce.

After the green hatches are roasted up I drop them into an ice bath to stop any internal cooking and to loosen the skin from the meat of the pepper.

With a mixture of tomatillos, garlic, onion, cilantro, miso paste, and lime juice I whipped up the hatch salsa verde.

The hatch Habanero sauce had a bit more heat and had a tomato base instead of the tomatillo from the other. I also added in some other peppers I had left over from our last harvest.

I didn’t bother to pick one sauce for my tacos though, instead I picked both. These tacos features some @elcomalproducts
Flour tortillas with a solid lathering of the salsa verde. Next you’ll find a heaping pile of grilled chicken with sprinkles of cilantro and slices of red onion. Upon the final layer you will spot a scoop of the habanero hatch sauce to finish the dish .

Cheers!
