TACO DAY 904/1000 SALSA MACHA FRIED CHICKEN TACOS

TACO DAY 904/1000

SALSA MACHA FRIED CHICKEN TACOS

On new years eve I fried up some chicken strips and casually submerged them in my homemade salsa macha. That combination was unexpectedly tasty and I knew it had to become a taco.

Salsa Macha is a sauce made from a variety of dried peppers, nuts, garlic, and avocado oil that only takes a few min make but is packed full of flavors. It gives the meat a very Louisiana fried chicken consistency but has a very different taste.

After a breading up and frying the chicken I repeated the dipping process in the salsa macha. I took each strip and pushed it into the deep end of the oiled sauce and only allowed them to surface once each flake had been coated.

Each taco was made with a flour tortilla with a crispy cheese crust and a pile of serrano cabbage slaw followed by the dipped chicken.
