DEL REAL CARNITAS & BACON TACOS

Yesterday evening I picked up the “heat and eat” package of @delrealfoods Carnitas for dinner. I love making my own carnitas but that’s an all day event so it’s nice to just pick up one of these guys and go for it.

I figured the best way to warm this up was in bacon grease over a hot cast iron skillet. And now after the fact, I agree with myself, as the bacon provided the perfect addition to these tacos.

With the meat warmed and cooked I heated up some @elcomalproducts flour tortillas with guacamole and salsa verde before squeezing my meats(carnitas & bacon) in. Next I dropped in the cilantro and pickled red onions followed by a generious scoop of my homemade garden habanero sauce and cojita cheese.
