WAGYU TACO DORADOS WITH THE TACO SLAYER HOT SAUCE
Everytime I hit another 100 days of eating tacos I like creating something to mark the milestone. For day 900 I thought it would be pretty wicked to have a TacoSlayer hot sauce whipped up and luckily my buddy Matt from @shakasauce , a Southern california sauce manufacturer, was able to help make it happen.
The sauce is a take on Shaka’s original #01 recipe with the majority of the heat coming from Trinidad Scorpian peppers. It’s a great Hot Sauce to crank up the heat on any meal but for me, exclusively tacos 😉.
For its inaugural drizzle I made some Wagyu ground beef taco dorados. The wagyu was surprisingly different than other ground beef I’ve used and had a very distinct flavor and texture. I seasoned the meat up with some @fireandsmokesociety wicked Wynonna and stuffed a few corn tortillas with the meat. Next I dropped them into some hot oil until the tortilla is crisped and the wagyu cooked.
I topped each golden taco with cotija, creama, vinegar soaked cabbage/cilantro, pickled red onions, a slice of an avocado and a whole bunch of The Taco Slayer Hot Sauce.
